From December 15th Class E,F

I studied Reading Section Level2 Unit35 of ALC NetAcademy2, the title was 'The Beatles are musical immortal'.
Of course, I know Beatles, but I didn't know the cause of John Lennon's death.
So I was so surprised to know that John Lennon was murdered by a crazy Beatles fan.
I wondered why the fan murdered Lennon, although he was one of people who like Lennon.
And I thought that great persons are always die young, sudden, and unexpected.
For example, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, and Michael Jackson and so on...
This unit isn't so difficult for me, but I can't always read quickly including this time, so this is my weak point.
To improve this weakness, I tried to Reading Training again and again.

They are widely recognized as the greatest pop band ever.

From December 11th Class E,F

I'm sorry, I was absent the class on November 20th.
So I didn't access the preposition website.

I studied ELLLO No.987 whose title is 'Class Crush' from Ferris Online.
In this conversation, a man whose name is George asked a woman whose name is Crystal some advice about how he talk to a girl who has been on his mind.
Crystal adviced him to go out for a cup of coffee or something with her, and then George asked that he should pay on the first date.
Then Crystal answered that he dosen't have to do that because sometimes that can be offensive to women.
I was so surprised to hear this answer because if I don't have to pay for the date, I'm really happy and thank man for paying.
I think that almost all of Japanese women don't feel it is offensive to them.
From this point, I learned a difference of thinking between Japan and America.
There were no difficult vocabulary in this conversation, so it was relatively easy for me to understand the content.
But this is differ from ALC NetAcademy2 in the point of natural conversation.
So it was hard for me to follow the speed of natural conversation.
To follow the speed, I tried to read the whole sentence with their voice together.

I studied Listening Section Level2 Unit38, the title was 'American job-hunting'.
Through this story, I learned that in America, companies don't hire employees all at the same time.
And also I learned that to start job-hunting in the summer of junior year is too early.
So I think if I become 15th grade, I will deliberate about when I should start job-hunting.

Sara and Ken is looking people in new suits and talking about job-hunting in Japan and America.
There are many different points in style of job-hunting of Japan and America.
For example, in Japan, almost all the people start job-hunting at the same time, but companies in America don't hire employees all at the same time.
To know that, Ken thinks it was too early because he started job-hunting in the summer of his junior year.

I studied Listening Section Level4 Unit13, the title was 'A daring explor'.
I have ever thought that home is a safe place for babies, but through this story, I learned there are many dangerous things in the house.
I was surprised to know that mom's purse is one thing of the most dangerous.
If I become a mother someday, I will be careful of these points.

Many accidental poisonings among children are caused by items in this purse.
It is important to keep handbags and dangerous items out of reach.

I studied Listening Section Level4 Unit07, the title was 'Lindbergh fly alone, nonstop, across the Atlantic to Paris'.
There was a name, Charles Lindbergh in this story, but I had never heard the name.
But through this story, I learned that he was a great person who accomplished to fly alone, non stop, to Paris from Long Island in New York in 1927.
I was surprised to know that he was flying 33 hours long.
According to this story, I guess he might be tough and patient man.
And the pronunciation of this speaker was a little difficult to hear for me, so I think that I need to hear this type of English again and again.

Charles Lindbergh flied alone, nonstop, 3600 miles across the Atlantic to Paris from Long Island in New York in 1927.
He was the first person who tried such a great plan.

I studied Reading Section Level3 Unit43, the title was 'Mother's Day'.
Through this story, I learned that nowadays, Mother's Day is celebrated in countries around the globe, though not the same day in each country.
I was surprised at this fact because I had ever thought that Mother's Day is the event which is held in Japan only.
I thought that the feeling, to love mother is common in the world.

Mother's Day originally derived from ancient Greece.
At that time, a goddess who is called Demeter and Mary, the mother of Jesus were placed great esteem.
This tradition developed into Mother's Day.
Nowadays, Mother's Day is celebrated in countries in the world.

I studied Listening Section Level4 Unit04, the title waa 'Your amount of eating'.
Through this story, I learned that drinking a glass of water before meal can help us eat less, because it can make us feel fuller before we start to eat.
I found that it is surprisingly easy for us not to eat too much.
I really want to lose my weight, so I'll try this simple tip.

All of tips which she offered are surprisingly easy things.
At last, she added that 'Take it from a nutritionist. These simple tips can help you eat less.'

Through this story, I knew that in America, the school year starts in September and ends in June.
In Japan, the school year starts in April and ends in March.
So I was so surprised to know that.
I wondered if the graduation ceremony is held in June in American school.

My goals

Hello!!!
Today, I'll write my English language goals.

My English language goals are to become to able to use English in many aspects without no difficulties and to get a good job which is using English in Japan.

My present English skill is not so good.
There are some reasons why my English skill is not so good.
First, I can't read English sentences fast. Second, when I am listening English, I can't follow the speed of conversation. Third, I don't know so many vocabulary and idioms and grammars, so I can't write English sentences well. And the last is that I can't tell foreigner my opinion in English well.

To reach my goals, I think that I need to read many English sentences as fast as possible, to listen many kind of English, to increase vocabulary and idioms and knowledge of grammars and to talk to native speaker of English actively.

I studied Listening Section Level2 Unit06, the title was 'Whose chocolates?'.
Through this story, I learned it is not strange to buy some chocolates for oneself on Valentine's Day in foreign country.
Japanese people generally buy or make some chocolates for a boyfriend or friends.
So the case like this is unusual.
By the way, at first, I thought that man and woman who appear on this story have been going out each other, but it was wrong.
I wondered if she gives him some chocolates.

Then she was going to buy some chocolates.
But John was surprised because those chocolates were so expensive.
In addition, to be surprised, she said that those chocolates were for herself.

ALC NetAcademy2

I studied Reading Section Level2 Unit21, the title was 'Indifferent to politics of Japanese youth'.
Through this story, I learned that it is difficult for some young Japanese to answer the questions if they are asked about the political and social situation in their country.
If I were at same situation, I won't be able to answer the questions too.
Because I am not interested in such things.
But I thought I should know about political and social issues in my country and also I thought that Japan itself should consider a plan to interest young people in these matters.

Comparing the present and the past, the number of young Japanese who travel abroad alone has been rising in recent years.
During them stay, they are often asked about the political and social situation in their country.
But it is difficult for them to answer such questions because they are not interested in these.
So Japanese teachers and politicians should think of ways to interest young people in these matters.

Language Development - ALC NetAcademy2

I studied Reading Section Level2 Unit14 of ALC NetAcademy2, the title was 'The restaurant which has no smoking area'.
Through this story, I learned that many people don't like smoking.
I don't like smoking too. So I'm happy if such restaurants increase in the future.
I think that all restaurants should set up a no smoking area or impose a total ban on smoking for people who don't like smoking.
I found that it is unexpectedly easy for restaurants to get many customers.

Bob is the owner of the restaurant, but he doesn't have many customers.
Therefore, he asks his brother whose name is Bill for his advice.
Bill says to him, "You shouldn't allow your customers to smoke in your restaurant."
So he decides to take his brother's advice.
Finally, more and more customers started coming to Bob's restaurant.
