I studied Reading Section Level2 Unit40, the title was 'A ballroom dancing robot'.
This story is about a ballroom dancing and a ballroom dancing robot.
The word 'ballroom dancing' was new to me.
If I translate a word which means ballroom dancing in Japan to in English, I can say it 'social dancing'.
So I really want to know that where does the word 'ballroom' come from.
I could read the whole sentence in 120WPM, so this story was comparatively easy to read for me.
I tried level 3 of dictation, so I had to type all of the words in sentence.
But I made a lot of mistakes.
It was really hard for me to type all words.
So I listened to sound many times and typed each word carefully not to make more mistakes.
>>Summary
Recently in Japan, ballroom dancing has become very popular.
And also ballroom dancing studios have opened around the country.
A team of scientists at ABC University developed a robot which has three wheels instead of feet.
This robot was made with the purpose of teaching people how to dance in many styles like waltz, tango, cha-cha and so on.
To be surprised, it can also sense which way its partner is moving.
>> Unknown Vocabulary List

extremely ... to a very great degree
develop ... to grow into something more advanced

I studied three crossword puzzles of ESL Christmas Activities.
The titles are, the first one is 'Christmas Crossword Puzzle', the second one is 'Christmas Dinner', and the third one is the same title as former.
The first one and the second one were easy for me because there weren't any difficult vocabulary in the sentence of questions.
So I could answer those questions easily.
But the third one was a little difficult because I couldn't get the answers although I could understand the content of questions.
So I cooperated with friends to get answers.
The vocabulary which I didn't know were sprout, gravy, evergreen, ornament, and egg nog.
sprout ... if vegetables, seeds, or plants sprout, they start to grow, producing shoots, buds, or leaves
gravy ... a sauce made from the juice that comes from meat as it cooks, mixed with flour and water
evergreen ... an evergreen tree or bush does not lose its leaves in winter
ornament ... a small object that you keep in your house because it is beautiful rather than useful
egg nog ... a drink made from eggs, sugar, milk, and alcohol, useally drunk at Christmas
