From January 8th Class E,F

I studied Reading Section Level2 Unit40, the title was 'A ballroom dancing robot'.
This story is about a ballroom dancing and a ballroom dancing robot.
The word 'ballroom dancing' was new to me.
If I translate a word which means ballroom dancing in Japan to in English, I can say it 'social dancing'.
So I really want to know that where does the word 'ballroom' come from.
I could read the whole sentence in 120WPM, so this story was comparatively easy to read for me.
I tried level 3 of dictation, so I had to type all of the words in sentence.
But I made a lot of mistakes.
It was really hard for me to type all words.
So I listened to sound many times and typed each word carefully not to make more mistakes.

>>Summary
Recently in Japan, ballroom dancing has become very popular.
And also ballroom dancing studios have opened around the country.
A team of scientists at ABC University developed a robot which has three wheels instead of feet.
This robot was made with the purpose of teaching people how to dance in many styles like waltz, tango, cha-cha and so on.
To be surprised, it can also sense which way its partner is moving.

I like how when you find something that is difficult, you go back in and work on it. That's great!

As per ballroom dancing...I would assume it comes from the time when kings and queens were popular. Often, they would have a dance called a "ball," and the room where the dance was held was a very beautiful room...hence, ballroom. The type of dancing performed at these balls would be things like the foxtrot and so on, and so today it is called ballroom dancing.
